Canton's "Oracle" steps into the room with it's title track, laying on all the funk and wah of a baby blue, polyester, leisure suit. If this one doesn't have you slipping on your gold chains, butterfly collar shirt, and workin' out 'cha boogaloo... nothing will. As Citrona say it themselves, Oracle has "a bit of live funk, wah-wahs, groovy basslines and soulful keys [that] take it waaaay back". Believe it Hutch!

Of the four tracks presented, "Funk Under The Stars" definitely stands out. It comes on smooth with atmospheric sweeps setting the starry scene, as echoed guitar licks and subtle percussion make a path for the beats... solid, laid back, a little shuffled and just the right tempo. Combined with drifting, warbled synth pads, strong basslines, nicely placed vocal cues, and a funky organ solo, this song is gonna take you there and bring you back.

The remix of "Street Jive" by Switchstance Recordings artist Deela, is the most up-tempo number on Oracle, fusing the "deep bassline and soulful guitar licks of the original" with strong breakbeat flavor. Unlike the original version, which balances subtle shifts in instrumentation so that each element has it's moment, this mix maintains a breakbeat-centric style throughout that's well suited for the dancefloor.
