The one thing you can't accuse Stereo De Luxe – aka German production duo Kassi Wolf and Tom Krimi – of is being boring. Put simply - if this new CD, which collects the best and the wildest tracks from their EPs, was a drink it would be absinthe. Stereo De Luxe have taken beats and vibes from all parts of the musical spectrum, and mixed them into one hell of a cocktail.

Their music is at times loud, outrageous and devious. Don't be fooled by the camp Yello-esque opener of "Aerocyclette", this CD can take you on a very dangerous path. There are some more straight ahead dance tracks, like "Disco Desperado" and "Bouchez", there's some pop with "Favorite Radio" and then there's "Your Sweat" – which does exactly what it says on the tin. "On Time" is a great chill-out tune, but even that can go in unexpected directions. The Professor Longhair whistles give it a vibrant and slightly naughty edge.
Stereo De Luxe have a uniquely European way of doing things and many of these tracks would not be out of place in a burlesque club, which of course, can only be a good thing! If you like your grooves slightly warped and a bit perverse, then you will love Stereo De Luxe.
