Circle Research really took me back with "Who?". I don't really know if I should call it an album, a mixtape or something else, but regardless it is chock full of Hip Hop. I like to compare it to the classic Double D and Steinski's lessons or Fusion Beats (Bozo Meko Records) because it is loaded with classic material. Circle Research really chops, samples and scratches the hell out of material from the "Golden Age of Hip Hop", and they know their music. They've included everyone from Rakim to Barrington Levy to Biz Markie to Special Ed. I could go on for days, but they really had me with the Diamond D drop in the beginning of "Lips".

This release is a worthy effort that will be appreciated by hip hop aficionados as well as those who want to delve into the history of hip hop and the art of DJing. With like 400 quick tracks (ok, I'm exaggerating) plus instrumental versions, you get a lot of variation and a mix of music that moves along nicely and swiftly.
