The collective of Anthiliawaters calls its music "sexy breakfast electro resistant to time coming from here and there... a sound track for starting your day." I'll go along with that, even if I don't quite understand what it means. This is a slick, well produced album laid-back electro that runs just short of an hour.

"The Miles Without You" is totally electronic, with bits of keyboard generated melody riding over beats. It is downtempo enough not to be jarring, but there are enough beats, at varied speeds, to keep you awake, or wake you up in the morning. Unlike many projects, the rhythms are blended into the songs, and do not seem to be added as an afterthought. The tracks are long, at four and-a-half to seven and-a-half minutes, with a lot of sampling and repetition, but everything moves along at a quick pace. While in the hands of many artists this combination fails a lot of the time, in Anthiliawaters' many of the melodies and harmonies are infectious enough to carry their long playing time.
"Morning Lounge" might be a good description here. Throughout this album you'll hear tracks that have a bit of an otherworldly vibe without being dark.

"Time" is recommended for a 6:20 minute drift to somewhere else.
