La Perla is well known for being the gold standard in sophisticated lingerie. Its reputation defines exclusive, elite and specialized; ultra chic. So, composing music that encompasses all this is no small task, but one that Italian DJ and composer Danilo Venturi and production partner Alberto Benati were willing to take on.

The result of their effort is a blend of 60's Italian cinema jazz and smooth, classic lounge, with infections of R&B influenced rhythms and the sleekness of modern electronic music composition. Fans of Koop, Nicola Conte, Gerardo Frisina, The Five Corners Quintet, Gotan Project or Dimitri From Paris should listen up.

This isn't music that captures the raw passions often incited by the brand, this is about the hours that linger before and after. Described as "a musical short film - an evocative drive through Europe - complete with influences from jazz, tango, samba, down-tempo, house and funk." Noir isn't the first time Milan Records has paired up with one of the worlds foremost intimate apparel brands. In 2004 they partnered with Aubade to produce "Leçons de Tango".
