Citrona brings us another funky downtempo release by Geriba. One half of Geriba is Quincy Jointz and selector for the Lime Sorbet radio show. If you've heard the show then you'll know what is coming. The A side starts off with "What?", a junkyard funk track with bouncing bass, lots of percussion and horn stabs that keep the track hopping. Retro synths, organ and the "What" snippet drop in and out at the right moments to keep the groove flowing. K'Bonus steps up on the second track with a reworking of What and moves it with more emphasis on the organ and a broken beat bed track that switches up 4/4 and funky broken beats.

The B side gets darker and grittier and stronger in my opinion with "Dancin Feet". Geriba pair a funky clav riff with organ hits and an irresistible bass line and drum beat combo. Add in a little electro with the vocoder and electronic sweeps and you've got groove perfection. This song just makes you feel like a tough guy/gal. "U Got 2 Get With That" keeps the funk rolling with some guitar licks and another great funky bass line. The organ melody paired with the guitar keeps things gritty but doesn't lose its footing for the dancefloor.

Fans of Fort Knox, AGFA and QSO need to make sure this one gets in their crate.
