For their Vibes brand, Kinkysweet team up with UK-based Mettle Music. The first edition in the Vibes series is Latin Vibes: Lounge Selection, a 2-disc set of 22 smooth, loungy, Latin-influenced, deep house and downtempo tracks from the likes of Moodswings, Gecko Turner and a host of fairly unknown, but talented artists.

While there's a notable smooth jazz feel drifting through most of the first disc in this collection, its sound will hit the spot amongst followers of the housier side of the Cafe Del Mar and Hotel Costes series, not to mention, many of the other housier series on the Kinkysweet imprint.

The second disc drops the 4/4 house beats and smooth jazz vibe and shifts down into a slower tempo, dropping some nice, modern Latin rhythms along with a few Ibiza-flavored, "spiritual" sweeping flows. For this reviewer it all happens on disc two, but on a personal preference note, I still have a few reservations here (Ibiza doesn't really do it for me).

If you're planning a playful, haute couture pool party, this set will make for an ideal downtempo and deep house soundtrack.
