Interchill's "Earth Octave Lounge, Vol. 2" is a lush amalgamation of dubby, laid-back grooves, ambient soundscapes, sweeping synths, and near-eastern/mediterranean vibes, selected in an unmistakably northwestern US and western Canadian style; rhythmic, melodic, with organic, yet overtly electronic synth edges and a certain warmth all its own.

It's the kind of compilation you can just put on and relax to, all the way through, and if you can rock the slow grooves, you'll find a few gems as well. The slow groove rocking tracks include m-seven's "Electronic Flip", a dubby, western Mediterranean lounge groove with soft female vocal melodies.
Also, Aquila's "La Rosa", which is based on a traditional Sephardic (an occidental branch of Jews) wedding song, drifting on synth sweeps, spanish guitar, and a combination of organic and electronic percussion and flanged synth keys (strong Natacha Atlas vocal style). Aquila is a newly formed collaboration between David Battenfield and Irina Mikhailova, who has also lent her voice to Kaya Project among several others.
If you're into psy-trance flavored, Detroit-house inspired, muted 4/4 beats, check out Human Blue's "Beautiful Stranger".
Guru Shishya delivers an excellent jazzy, downtempo piece with "Cagian 3"; beautifully drifting piano, shuffled breaks, distant spoken voices, slow rolling bass, and Indian strings.
If you've got a taste for psy-trance, dub and ambient with middle-eastern influences, you can't go wrong with this collection. Make it a soundtrack to your next get together with close friends. Warm and beautiful.
