With its heavy dub sound, complex rhythmic elements and deep, slow bass, you may or may not be happy to know that Ladyman (aka Badawi) and his "Viagra Opus" do not live up to the cheeky humor of this albums titles and artwork. However, it definitely lives up to its billing as a dub album.

With titles like "Sexy Beast", "Lady Killa", and "Old Spice" you'd expect at least a few sleazy vocal cuts, but there are none. The music of Viagra Opus is dense with echoes, dark strings, relaxed dub keys, and the occasional hint of Middle Eastern sounds that are more prevalent in his work as Badawi.
This is a great album to listen to on a casual, late-night stroll through the city, and a great laid-back, urban soundtrack for dub lovers.
