Pollyn exist at a curious crossroad of sounds. In equal parts they bring together downtempo, triphop, mellow disco, and an abstract notion of shoegazeyness. The combination really works, and it's due in large part to the sweet voice of singer, Genevieve Artadi. The groups musical influences are snatched out of their larger wells with the deftness of a lynx, and the whole sound, from vocals, to instruments and arrangement, leave nothing to flaw. "Gave it Up" really illustrates everything Pollyn is about.

The Los Angeles musical collective known as Pollyn is comprised of vocalist Genevieve Artadi, guitarist Anthony Cava, and beatmaker Adam Jay Weissman. Pollyn creates atmospheric pop songs with lush electronic overtones. Featured on Urb's Next 100 in 2007, the band has remixed several high profile acts, including Gorillaz, Buffalo Daughter, Liquid Liquid, Health, and Exile. Their debut self-produced/full-length album This Little Night was mixed by Kristian Riley and Dave Cooley (Silversun Pick Ups, Darker My Love and Jaylib).
